The original title of this book was "Bad Path," which was changed to "Nine Sins: Psychological Experiments" upon publication

Psychologist Jiang Hu, in an effort to trace the life of his late mentor—renowned criminal psychologist and infamously notorious serial killer Ke Ru Hui—returned to his home country for research. He accepted an invitation from a personal acquaintance to become a psychological counselor for a major crime unit in a certain city. Jiang Hu, alongside the members of the major crime unit, solved multiple heinous cases. Just as he was gradually integrating into the team with the help of the captain, Jiang Hu discovered clues suggesting that Ke Ru Hui was still alive. Furthermore, he gradually uncovered Ke Ru Hui's final experiments in two cases.
